Thanks for your comments! Yes, Dan is my boss & as you know, he's much more tech savvy than most & he's really big on blogging!

To answer your question, no it's not a dumb question at all! You can feel free to use your real name. Getting your name (& website) on the internet is good for business. Google & other search engines like finding you & your company out there & it should help you get noticed more. So, go ahead & I'd encourage you to put your website link in as well, especially if you have a blog to link to....

So, have you started yet?? :)
Sorry, couldn't resist -

Caron, my very first "comment", "response" or "reply" or whatever the formal term for what I am doing now is.....

I'm glad your "boss" (I assume it's Dan?) decided to start this. And from your first comment I'm assured that the boss has chosen the right person for the right job. Since most of us guys who've been in the construction business around for so many years are not PC savvy, it's a welcome presence to have someone like yourself available to help us get started. The fact that you are a "novice" as well, and are willing to take the time to guide us through getting started is of valuable importance to us. Many, I guess I should say most, would find it hard at first to just find the time to get started. I'm sure with your help "jump-starting" us, the entry into this form of cyberspace will be a huge help to all of us. ~Thanks so much!

So first question (not knowing any of the terms) When we are entering our "Name" as required above this on your online form, Is it normal to create a "screename" or "profile name", or do we simply use our real name? Is this some sort of security isiiue? May sound like a dumb question, but I've come to fnd that no question is entirely out of the question. *grin*

Caron

Looks like I will be your first comment. Great job, good comments.

To all your readers: This is the way of the future gang, time to get on board and start blogging. It is not the end all, cure all for whatever ails you and your company but it is darned sure better than doing nothing, sitting around waiting for the phone to ring.
